President Marcos ordered on Friday the swift implementation of the P100-million Jolo Airport Development Project in Sulu.
“Along with the assistance we are providing comes the good news about our progress for the Jolo Airport Development Project,” President Marcos said during a distribution of presidential aid to local farmers and fisherfolk.
“Alongside our assistance efforts, we bring promising news of advancing the Jolo Airport Development Project. We are currently laying out all necessary groundwork, with P100 million allocated for its immediate initiation,” he added.
The airport project encompasses the construction of the airport’s Passenger Terminal Building, perimeter fence, administration facilities, and a relocated fire station, alongside critical expansions to the runway and necessary environmental safeguards.
The processing of the Memorandum of Agreement with the provincial government for project execution is currently underway.
