The Quezon City Police District on Wednesday credited its intensified campaign against loose firearms to the confiscation of 156 firearms.
QCPD director Redrico Maranan cited their significant accomplishment against loose firearms from January to June.
During this period, a total of 145 operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of 147 individuals by various police stations and units within the QCPD.
The operations led to the confiscation of a total of 156 firearms.
Maranan stressed the importance of their accomplishments, stating “the confiscation of these firearms underscores our unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal firearms from our communities and ensuring the safety and security of our fellow Quezon City residents.”
“We remain steadfast in our mission to uphold the law and protect the public,” he said.
