Law enforcement authorities from the National Capital Region Police Office, Special Operations Unit (NCRPO-SOU) arrested on Wednesday evening a man suspected of being a notorious drug dealer and organizer of sex parties during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City.
Police identified the suspect as Jade Regalario, a resident of Cainta, Rizal. He was apprehended around 7:40 p.m. on June 19 after the NCRPO-SOU received information from a tipster that the suspect just sold P1,000 worth of drugs in the area.
Regalario was caught in the parking area of the Quantum building in Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City with a heat-sealed transparent plastic bag containing 25 pink MDMA tablets, commonly known as ecstasy, in his possession.
Regalario was charged with violating Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act.
He and the evidence obtained from him are now in the custody of the SOU-NCR, and the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) for documentation and proper disposition.
The confiscated ecstasy pills have been turned over to the PNP Forensic Group of Camp Crame in Quezon City for further forensic laboratory examination.
