The Caloocan City government, through the efforts of the City Health Department (CHD), held a Men’s Congress at the Buena Park to provide free health services, raise awareness, and break the stigma regarding men’s health concerns
More than 230 participants from various organizations including members of the Philippine National Police as well as youth leaders from the Sangguniang Kabataan attended talks on mental health, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and prostate cancer, and availed of free services such as risk assessments, HIV testing and counselling, and even free facial and diamond peel.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan reiterated his administration’s priority to create comprehensive health programs and expressed his support for a gender-sensitive approach to create holistic response to concerns encountered by his constituents.
