Rizal’s second congressional district has a rich history dating back to the pre-colonial era. The area was home to numerous settlements and played a significant role in the Philippine Revolution. During the Spanish colonial period, it thrived as a center for commerce and trade.
However, as much as the past is significant to our communities, striving for progress and the future is equally important. Rep. Emigdio P. Tanjuatco III has led this charge in Rizal’s Second District, guiding the district towards a brighter future.

To this day, Rep. Tanjuatco III lives by his father’s motto “Dapat Tama.”
Former Congressman Ding Tanjuatco, Jr. has always taught his children to treat people from all walks of life with respect, kindness and empathy.

His father’s simplicity, humility, and compassion for people continues to inspire Rep. Tanjuatco III to carry on his legacy as a “man for others.”
