The Caloocan City government on Tuesday rolled out its first Housing Caravan as part of its “Pambansang Pabahay para sa Batang Kankaloo” Program at the city’s sports complex, in accordance with the President’s Executive Order No. 34 Series of 2023.
Under the initial registration for the said program, more than 1500 families especially informal settlers, renters, and other Caloocan City residents without a house of their own will get a chance to avail themselves of the low-cost housing program in the soon-to-rise Bagumbong and Deparo residences.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan noted that the Housing Caravan will serve to provide more details to the residents regarding the housing program.
He thanked the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), the National Housing Authority (NHA), and the city’s Housing and Resettlement Office (HARO) for their assistance to the success of the program.
The mayor reminded his constituents that priority will be given to those deemed in urgent need of new homes, but assured his constituents that more projects will be implemented by the city government to address housing concerns.
