THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has commended the Paranaque City Police Station for the arrest of a woman allegedly involved in a multimillion-peso investment scam.
NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the suspect, identified as Melinda Lea Adalin, was apprehended in Barangay Julugan in Tanza, Cavite based on warrants issued by Judge Leilani Marie Dacanay-Grimares of Regional Trial Court, Branch 296, and Judge Karen Christine Red-Lock of the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 89, both in Parañaque City.
According to Nartatez, the suspect had been evading authorities for over two years. Her arrest was the result of nearly two months of rigorous surveillance and persistent follow-up operations.
The suspect allegedly defrauded some 500 victims of an estimated P 200 million to P300 million.
