SM malls in Bataan and Olongapo City have spearheaded a coastal clean-up event in celebration of World Oceans Day. The activity was conducted in a mangrove adopted area of SM City Bataan in Barangay Pto. Rivas, Balanga City, in Parola, Barangay Kalaklan, and in Driftwood Beach, Barangay Barreto, Olongapo City. More than 150 volunteers consisting of SM employees, agency personnel, security staff, representatives of Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and community members took part in the clean-up campaign.
