Things are about to become exciting for ARMYs as Korean idol Jin of global supergroup BTS has just announced his military discharge.
In a statement released on the fan community app Weverse by Jin’s agency, BIG HIT Entertainment said that the group’s eldest member is about to complete his military service on Wednesday, June 12.
“We are excited to bring you the news of Jin’s upcoming military discharge. Jin is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged,” the statement read.
It also reminded fans to refrain from coming during the discharge ceremony as it “is reserved for military personnel only.”
“No special events are planned on the day of Jin’s discharge. To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site,” it added.
“We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for Jin. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists,” the post continued.
Yesterday, news reports said that other members—RM, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—have taken their leaves to celebrate Jin’s discharge.
BTS is said to have their comeback on stage in June 2025.
