Employees of FPGMC (the company behind iconic Pinoy Superbrand, Silver Swan) from across the country, gathered at the company headquarters in Pasig City last June 4, 2024 for a special celebration of Pride Month which also served as the official kickoff for the company’s 10th year anniversary.
Dubbed “FPRIDE: Celebrating Pride in FPGMC – Salubong sa Sampung Swanderful Years ng Sarap at Saya”, the event featured a series of talks aimed at deepening appreciation of the company’s diversity and inclusivity while reinforcing sensitivity to gender issues and highlighting the company’s MERIIT (Malasakit, Excellence, Respect, Ingenuity with Integrity and Teamwork) values.
Among the featured speakers were P/Major Meriel Editha Angeles, Assistant Chief of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children’s Desk of the Philippine National Police (AVAWCD-PNP) who passionately discussed the Safe Spaces Act; Coach Reiner Grospe of Limitless Life Coaching who covered gender sensitivity and clearly explained the concepts of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Expression, and Sexual Characteristics (SOGIE-SC); and Erica Cardoso, managing director of Evergreen Labs Ph, who discussed the plastic waste problem in the Philippines and how FPGMC and NutriAsia, Inc. (NAI) and other responsible organizations are responding to challenge of better solid waste management.
The event culminated with a refresher session on the company’s values facilitated by NAI HR Talent and Development Manager, Marvin Fajardo.
