LTO: Colorum vehicles face sanctions

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Wednesday vowed to deal with Metro Manila operators of unregistered public utility vehicles accordingly.

LTO National Capital Region director Roque Verzosa, said they have already started to file criminal cases against colorum operators who continue to operate illegally in the metro.

He warned that colorum operators would face the full force of the law for their illegal activities. “The LTO-NCR will not stop in this desire to punish all those who violate street laws,” he said.

Upon the order of LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II, an intensified campaign against colorum operators was launched nationwide to go after unauthorized vehicles operating without the necessary permits. The effort aims to enforce stricter regulations and penalties to ensure compliance with transportation laws and enhance road safety.
