Power restoration

Manila Electric Co. says electricity service in areas affected by Typhoon Aghon returned to normal as of 10 p.m. of May 28, following the restoration of all circuits and primary lines of Meralco. Meralco spokesperson and head of corporate communications Joe Zaldarriaga says with almost 100 percent of service back in affected areas, the company is restoring power to the remaining households in far-flung areas as part of its mopping up operations. Meralco crew worked 24/7 to restore power service to around 1.7 million customers, who were affected by either momentary or sustained power interruptions due to Typhoon Aghon.
