The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has rescued 48 passengers and crew whose boat capsized amid strong waves while enroute to the island province of Masbate in Bicol region.
Report stated that the motorized banca Oceanus Uno keeled over off Brgy. Penafrancia in Claveria town after the sea turned hostile due to inclement weather.

PCG elements based in Aroroy, joined by a team from the municipal disaster risk reduction and management office, responded to the accident aboard two water craft.
All the rescued 48 passengers and crew were turned over to the rural health unit in Aroroy for medical assistance.
