Inspiration comes in many forms and ways. Sometimes you find inspiration from inanimate ordinary objects that you look at. At random times, you would find one while connecting with nature. Some people look for beauty in the ordinary, while others get inspired by the ugliness of things.
In my case, I always find inspiration from another person’s story. There is something about listening to stories told by friends or strangers. Random encounters while walking around the city or traveling to another place make a good conversation. Inspiration comes from everywhere and anywhere. It can happen when you least expect it. You just need to be open to it.

The pilot episode, which aired last May 3, features Shane Lumanog, an independent singer-songwriter prominent for crafting music in the Kapampangan language. She hails from a family of guitar makers.
Her musical journey sparked at age 4 with a ukulele, and evolved into guitar playing at age 10, driving her to create songs in her native tongue. Shane, alongside her sister Shena, crafts Kapampangan pop hits, aiming for mainstream recognition.

Speaking for inspiring people, one can learn and get inspired from the life and works of Gawad CCP Para sa Sining 2024 recipients.
The award is the highest honor from the CCP given to artists and groups across various disciplines for their outstanding contributions or distinct styles enriching their art forms. It also recognizes those who have positively impacted their region’s culture or enhanced Philippine culture through various means.
The Tanging Parangal ng CCP is a special award honoring exceptional contributions to the arts and cultural activities in the country from individuals or organizations in the government or private sector.
Category A awardees include Generoso “Gener” Caringal, Jose Iñigo Homer “Joey” Ayala, Maria Lea Carmen Salonga, Jose Lacaba Jr, Miguel “Mike” De Leon, and the late Mario O’Hara.
They are honored for their significant contributions to Philippine dance, music, literature, and film, respectively. Julie Lluch and Gino Gonzales are recognized for their innovative approaches to art and fashion.
In Category B, the Loboc Children’s Choir is celebrated for their performances preserving and promoting Bohol’s heritage.
Category C recipient Marilyn Gamboa is acknowledged for her role in sustaining cultural institutions and programs in Negros Occidental.
Posthumous recipients of the Tanging Parangal ng CCP are Senator Edgardo J. Angara and Zenaida “Nedy” R. Tantoco, recognized for their exceptional support and advocacy for Philippine arts and culture.
The awarding ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 20, 7:00 p.m., at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.
