Fishermen’s protest

The militant Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas stages a protest demonstration at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources headquarters in Quezon City citing the adverse impacts on their livelihood of the dredging and reclamation activites at the Manila Bay. The group asserts that the volume of their daily catch of fish has dramatically declined while their villages have been inundated by salt water as a result of the reclamation projects.
