The distribution ceremony was attended by Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro and Rep. Maan Teodoro, further cementing the Pimentel-Teodoro partnership.

“It is a privilege to support our barangays and provide them with the necessary resources to serve their constituents effectively. By donating these service vehicles, we aim to facilitate easier access to essential services and promote community development,” Kat Pimentel said.

“Hangad natin na mas mapagsilbihan nila nang maayos at mabilis ang kanilang mga kababayan sa pamamagitan nitong mga sasakyan na ating ipinagkaloob katuwang ang Tanggapan nina Senator Koko Pimentel and Mayor Marcy and Cong. Maan Teodoro,” she added.

The recipients thanked Pimentel and the Teodoros for their unwavering support and dedication to uplifting the lives of Marikina City residents. The donation of these service vehicles is expected to significantly enhance barangay operations and responsiveness to community needs.

Expressing their appreciation, Don Kristofer Kyle Reyes, Barangay Tañong Sangguniang Kabataan chairman, said: “From Barangay Tañong, thank you very much. We promise to use this properly and for the benefit of the community.”

Similarly, Barangay Sta. Elena chairman Bernard C. Bernardo, said: “That’s our dream. We were supposed to buy that, but we couldn’t afford it, so thank you very much.”

For Barangay San Roque Councilor Wilbert Juanson, this assistance is a significant contribution in fulfilling their mandate of providing essential services to the constituents.

The donated service vehicles are expected to serve as invaluable assets in addressing the needs of Marikina City barangays and ensuring efficient delivery of public services.

This initiative follows the recent grand launch of the “Marikina City Health Caravan” led by the Pimentel-Teodoro tandem in Barangay Sto. Nino, Marikina.

The health caravan provided free medical services to approximately 1,000 residents, including laboratory procedures, consultations, medicines, and vitamins. Additionally, attendees were treated to various street food offerings and received five packs of rice.
