Pop sensation Taylor Swift is rocking the music industry anew with the release of her double album, “The Tortured Poets Department” which features a total of 31 songs. On top of its record-breaking release, lead single “Fortnight” featuring rapper Post Malone had taken the spot as Spotify’s most-streamed song in a single day.
The digital music platform made the announcement on its official X account where it also said that Swift has broken two more records.
“On April 19th, 2024, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day, and Taylor Swift became the most-streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history,” it said in its post.
Post Malone had also expressed his thoughts regarding the hit song with Swift on his official X account.
“It’s once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift13 comes into this world. I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey. I love you so much. Thank you Tay,” the rapper said.
The music video for “Fortnight” was released on April 20.
“The Tortured Poets Department” was first released on April 19 with only 16 songs. Two hours later, the singer announced that it was a double album and released 15 more songs, much to the surprise and delight of many fans.
