Hotel101 Global, a leading hospitality company, has announced its commitment to building a new environmentally-friendly hotel in Niseko, Japan.
Partnering with engineering firms Kamita Sekkei and Technocrew, alongside contractor Iwata Chizaki Inc., Hotel101-Niseko is poised to become the region’s first hotel to achieve a CASBEE rating, Japan’s leading sustainability benchmark for buildings.
This project underscores Hotel101 Global’s dedication to responsible development. The hotel’s structure will incorporate green architecture and technology to minimize environmental impact and promote operational efficiency.
“Sustainability is a core value for Hotel101,” said CEO Hannah Yulo-Luccini during a contact signing on April 19. “By integrating eco-conscious practices throughout construction and daily operations, we protect the environment, attract environmentally responsible guests, and ensure long-term viability.”
Hotel101-Niseko’s CASBEE rating signifies its leadership in sustainable hospitality solutions. Located on a 1.17-hectare site chosen for its natural beauty, the hotel aligns with the community’s environmental commitment and caters to guests seeking eco-friendly experiences.
“Achieving a CASBEE rating in a demanding winter environment like Niseko is a significant accomplishment,” said Yulo-Luccini. “Hotel101-Niseko will be a leading example of green hospitality.”
The 482-room Hotel101-Niseko is strategically located to capitalize on the upcoming Bullet Train connecting Tokyo directly to Niseko. This project is poised to become a top destination for both domestic and international tourists.
“Hotel101 Global is on track to becoming recognized as a global leader in eco-friendly hospitality,” said DoubleDragon Chairman Edgar Injap Sia II.
