Single parents may enjoy free train rides at LRT-2 and MRT-3 today, April 20, as the country marks National Solo Parents’ Day.
“Ayon sa pamunuan ng LRTA, ang libreng sakay sa LRT-2 ay para makapagbigay ng inspirasyon sa mga solo parent na mag-isang itinataguyod ang kanilang pamilya,” the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said in a Facebook post.

Solo parents need only to present their Solo Parent’s Identification Card or Solo Parent Certificate of Eligibility.
They can enjoy the free train rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act has declared the third Saturday of April as National Solo Parents’ Day.
