Borough Lasik Center (BLC) has expanded its operations in Western Visayas with the opening of its newest satellite clinic in Bacolod City.
BLC now operates five branches across key locations in the Philippines including three full-service clinics in Manila, Iloilo and Davao and two satellite clinics in General Santos and Bacolod.
“Our commitment to accessibility is the foundation of our expansion efforts. The opening of our Bacolod satellite clinic marks a significant step towards making premium vision care services accessible nationwide,” BLC general manager Karlo Serafin Sanchez said.
“Residents of Bacolod and nearby towns no longer need to endure long trips to Manila or other distant locations for vision care. BLC has conveniently brought cutting-edge technology to Western Visayas, reaffirming our mission to provide life-changing vision services to every corner of the country,” he said.
BLC chief executive and head ophthalmologist Ches Heredia said the primary objective of its Bacolod satellite clinic is to conduct comprehensive eye screenings for interested patients.
“If the assessment indicates their eligibility for LASIK, we then schedule their procedure at our Iloilo clinic. This eliminates the need for patients to travel extensively for follow-up appointments. Instead, they can simply cross to Iloilo (via ferry) for their surgery and return to Bacolod for follow-up check-ups at our satellite clinic,” Heredia said.
BLC also boasts of top-of-the-line machines that perform the best ophthalmic treatments. One of them is the Schwind Amaris Excimer Laser, a high-performance laser system used in refractive surgery to reshape the cornea and correct vision problems such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism.
“With over 20,000 eyes already transformed under our care, our globally trained and highly-experienced doctors stand ready to continue this legacy of life-changing vision,” BLC chief operating officer Ricky Aranzamendez III said.
