Wearing a white knee-length dress, OPM singer Moira dela Torre looked dazzling and beautiful as she faced the local press during a media conference of her newest endorsement.
With her good aura and the radiance she brought when she appeared, she was asked what made her feel good these days.
“Sleep and my cat,” Moira quipped. “I am currently finishing my album, so I am really in work mode right now. I think that does make me feel good, accomplishing things and, you know, finishing something I started.”
Moira shared that the album was supposed to be finished already but emphasized that “good things take time.”
“And when it finally comes to completion after a very long time of waiting, that makes you feel very good,” she added.
The past years she had been very busy dropping singles left and right. She also had done concerts, gigs, and collaborations with fellow OPM artists.
With Moira being in the spotlight for years, many noticed that the hit singer lost weight. She previously revealed that she had lost 60 pounds from her weight – from 180 pounds to 120 pounds, admitting to try sorts of fad diets.
“So in 2020, I started all these diets, I was vegan for a while, I did keto, I did intermittent, I did everything, I’ve tried everything,” recalled Moira.
“When I stopped putting pressure on myself and started allowing myself to just be me, I stopped feeling the pressure. I’m sorry, I might have to say this trigger warning. I became bulimic for two years and it only worsened my situation and got me to gain more weight,” she continued.
“When I stopped putting pressure on myself to just be, doon parang kumalma ang katawan ko and I started losing weight gradually. I think alam ng katawan mo kapag naaalagaan siya nang tama. Alam ng katawan natin kapag minamahal siya nang tama,” added Moira.
Talking about her weight loss journey, the 30-year-old singer shared that it had changed her life and taught her a lot of lessons.
“My life changed a lot, but I think bago pa po yung weight loss, is more internal first, and it just manifested eventually, physically. I think the change started internally first before it manifested externally and my life changed so much after the last two and a half years,” explained Moira.
She also shared how her journey had made her happier and healed.
When asked on what advice she could give to those people who were experiencing what she had gone through, Moira pointed out how important it is to love yourself.
“I want you to care more about what you think about yourself because that matters more…For people who are going on a journey that I have been on, don’t be too hard on yourself. Be unapologetic when it comes to choosing yourself. It’s not a bad thing,” Moira said.
“Self-love is not a selfish thing. To the people who are trying to lose weight, I want you to care more about yourself. It had to take so much time to think that I was beautiful before. And then, the physical change happened. We are beautiful,” the singer stated.
Her self-love journey continued as she was recently launched as the newest endorser of BonaSlim.
“On behalf of the BonaSlim and Bona Vita family, I am very grateful to Moira for trusting our brand and our family. We are also thankful to Cornerstone Management for the opportunity to be part of something big,” said BonaVita Philippines Chief Finance Officer Jethro Cerezo.
