LTO Alicia holds weekend mobile caravan

ALICIA, Isabela – In an effort to extend Land Transportation Office (LTO) services to communities, LTO Alicia District Office officer-in-charge Dennis Buendia organized a mobile caravan at the community center here last Saturday, March 23.

LTO-Alicia has a program called “Balik Lisensya, Balik Rehistro,” which aims to bring government services closer to the people.

Officials said the caravan was intended to serve those who are too busy, especially on weekends. The program was designed to accommodate those who wanted to obtain student permits, driver’s licenses, license renewals, and motor vehicle registration.

Buendia also mentioned about the “License Outskirt Program,” where they coordinate with the barangay chairman on the number of individuals who need assistance in obtaining driver’s licenses.

For the Alicia district office, 300 slots were made available. Buendia thanked LTO Cagayan Valley regional director Manuel Baricaua for the proposal, which was supported by their local government officials namely Rep. Ian Paul Dy and Alicia Mayor Joel Amos Pablo Alejandro.

Buendia said the LTO will also hold similar caravans in the municipalities of San Guillermo and Angadanan on April 6 and 27, respectively. Services include applications for student permits, renewal of professional and non-professional driver’s licenses, and motor vehicle registrations
