Colombian superstar Shakira makes a comeback after a seven-year hiatus with the release of her highly-anticipated album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry).
The album’s arrival was celebrated with a star-studded launch party co-hosted by the 47-year-old singer and Sony Music at the Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood.
The event witnessed fans, celebrities, and friends gather to support the singer. Among the attendees were Puerto Rican rapper Anuel, actor and musician Carlos Ponce, and YouTuber/actress Lele Pons.
The new album, which went 7x platinum on release day (March 22), kicks off with a sultry pop collaboration with “WAP” rapper, Cardi B, in “Puntería.”
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran marks Shakira’s twelfth studio album and follows the success of her 2017 release, El Dorado. The new project is described as a deeply personal exploration of the singer’s journey and a celebration of female empowerment.
