Singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus is releasing her newest single, “Doctor (Work It Out)” in collaboration with musician Pharrel Williams.
In a short video posted on Miley’s official Instagram and X accounts, the singer can be seen dancing to an excerpt of the song in front of a plain gray backdrop while wearing a short black dress embezzled with white gems and a pair of black strappy heels.
“Doctor (Work It Out)” will be Miley’s first single following her latest album, “Endless Summer Vacation,” which was released last year together with her hit single, “Flowers,” which had won “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Solo Performance” at the 66th Grammy Awards.
The upcoming single will be Miley’s most recent collaboration with another musician for a single since 2020, where she previously released the song “Prisoner” featuring pop artist Dua Lipa for her seventh studio album “Plastic Hearts.”
Miley rose to fame following her role in the hit Disney Channel television series, “Hannah Montana” as the titular character. Her career in music soon began with the release of her debut album “Meet Miley Cyrus” which included her chart-topping single, “See You Again.”
Miley was eventually known for other hit songs such as “7 Things,” “Party in the U.S.A.,” “The Climb,” “We Can’t Stop,” and “Wrecking Ball,” with the latter two being released during the time when the singer was in the middle of multiple controversies following the shift of her image from a family friendly teenage pop star to a wilder icon facing various scandals.
Pharrell Williams is known for his collaboration with singer Robin Thicke and rapper T.I on the song, “Blurred Lines” as well as his song, “Happy,” which was part of the official soundtrack of the animated film, “Despicable Me 2.”
“Doctor (Work It Out)” is set to be released on March 1.
