Jackie Buntan looks to stretch her winning streak to three when she returns to action at ONE Fight Night 20: Todd vs, Phetjeeja on March 9 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Fil-Am striker will cross paths with Martine “The Italian Queen” Michieletto in a catchweight Muay thai bout on International Women’s Day.
Buntan has been on a tear, winning her last two fights including a sensational first round technical knockout win over Diandra Martin at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III in May last year.
Since then, she has been tireless in her much awaited return to the ring as she aims to once again challenge for the ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title currently held by Smilla “The Hurricane” Sundell.
On the other hand, Michieletto is pumped to insert herself into that discussion, especially after emerging victorious via unanimous decision in her promotional debut against Amber “AK 47” Kitchen at ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov.
This is the latest of a banger card as ONE Championship celebrates International Women’s Day featuring some of the best female martial artists in the world.
ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Janet Todd will headline the card as she collides against interim titleholder “The Queen” Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom in a World Title unification bout.
Also announced will be the title defense of ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues against Spanish sensation Cristina Morales in the co-main event, and a Muay Thai bout between Lara Fernandez and Yu Yau Pui.
