Singer and actress Selena Gomez has announced the upcoming release of her newest single, ‘Love On.’
In her Instagram post, Selena shared a photo of the upcoming single’s cover which featured her wearing a white robe and sunglasses with her hair up in a white towel, leaning against the doors of a balcony overlooking the sea.
“Wait ‘til I turn my love on,” Selena’s post read.
The announcement followed several photos of red heart-shaped locks with phrases hinting to possible lyrics of the upcoming song like ‘This doesn’t have 2 be some sort of mathematical equation’ and ‘Clock in, baby get to work. Night shift but we all the perks,’ sent to fans that have recently circulated social media.
Selena’s recent single, ‘Single Soon,’ was released last Aug. 25, 2023 which has garnered up to 160 million plays on Spotify.
Apart from her upcoming song release and a studio album release she teased last December 2023, Selena is also slated to star in a musical crime comedy, ‘Emilia Perez’ alongside actress Zoe Saldaña.
Selena had notably risen to fame following her iconic roles in Disney Channel series such as ‘Hannah Montana’ and ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ as well as the formation of her pop rock band, ‘Selena Gomez & the Scene’ which had several chart-topping songs like ‘Who Says,’ ‘Love You Like A Love Song,’ and ‘Hit the Lights.’
She has also starred in the ‘Hotel Transylvania’ film series as well as the mystery comedy series, ‘Only Murders in the Building.’ In her solo music career, Selena had collaborated with other fellow artists like Coldplay and Charlie Puth and was able to receive nominations for award-giving bodies like the MTV Video Music Awards, the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
Selena’s upcoming single is set to be released on February 22.
