Navotas Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Representative Toby Tiangco received recognition as 2023 Outstanding Public Servants from the RP-Mission and Development Foundation, Inc. (RPMD).
RPMD noted that the award serves as a “direct reflection of the unwavering support and resounding endorsement from the constituents of Navotas City, who have voiced their approval and satisfaction with the Tiangco brothers’ service and dedication to their community.”
Both Tiangcos consistently topped the RPMD independent surveys regularly conducted to foster accountability, transparency, and effective governance in the country.
Mayor Tiangco acknowledged the contribution of city officials and employees in delivering quality public service.
“This award inspires us to continue to devote effective, transparent, and accountable service that our constituents deserve. We need to constantly improve ourselves so we could also elevate the quality of our service to our fellow Navoteños,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rep. Tiangco thanked Navoteños for their steadfast trust and support.
“Tagumpay po nating lahat ang mga parangal na ito. Rest assured that we will continue to push for projects, programs, and bills that promote your best interests and well-being,” he said.
In his statement, RPMD Executive Director Dr. Paul Martinez said the Tiangcos’ collaborative initiatives played a pivotal role in the “transformation of the city into a model of urban development characterized by inclusive growth, enhanced public services, and a heightened sense of community welfare,” creating a legacy of public service that will resonate for years to come.
