The Caloocan City government passed with flying colors the 2023 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) audit by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for its outstanding and consistent compliance with nationally-set standards for government fiscal accounting.
The DILG recognized the city’s auditing efforts for having high Audit Opinion ratings from the Commission on Audit (COA) for the past years, as well as for observing good practices that adhere to the Full Disclosure Policy when it comes to the city’s financial documents.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan expressed appreciation for the DILG and to his fellow public servants for helping the city achieve this distinction and vowed to continue the good financial management practices of the city government to maintain the trust of his constituents.
malinis na paggamit ng pera ng ating lungsod (We gladly accept this honor for Caloocan City from the DILG. Thank you very much to my colleagues for their untiring service to the city government who continue to adhere to clean and efficient use of our funds),” Malapitan said.
In using the funds from our city coffers, we have the trust of our people. Rest assured that we will not destroy your trust, and we will endeavour to do better in serving you all) he added.
