The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deployed 87 new officers to frontline offices nationwide to further strengthen the country’s border protection.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said these new immigration officers have been trained to serve based on core values of patriotism, integrity, and professionalism.
He said the new BI officers went through rigorous training prior to deployment.
“We trust that the new batches remain faithful to their duties as defenders of our borders,” he added.
Tansingco also reminded the new officers to ensure proper conduct at the frontlines, and said that he will not tolerate any report of inappropriate or unprofessional behavior.
