The Taguig City government is now offering 24/7 diagnostic laboratory services for emergency patients.
The latest health service, according to Mayor Laarni Cayetano, is in addition to the 29 community-based laboratories located in each health center and three main laboratories in the city.
The Super Health Center in Barangay North Signal is equipped with medical technologists, nurses, doctors, and laboratory staff to process various services such as CBC, urinalysis, HBsAg, VDRL, electrolyte panel, Dengue NSI, IgG and IgM, and fecalysis.
Cayetano said the laboratory will serve emergency patients seen and evaluated in the three Super Health Centers in Barangay North Signal, Ligid-Tipas, and Central Bicutan.
Patients from other health centers in the city can be accommodated after 5 p.m., provided they are an emergency case and have a proper referral form from the health center of origin.
All diagnostic laboratories in other health centers will remain open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to serve residents.
The local government had recently introduced two new health programs – Home Health and Doctor On Call – to serve residents of its new barangays formerly under Makati City’s jurisdiction.
Home Health is a free service for bedridden patients, providing consultations, testing, and other health needs. It is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on weekends and holidays. Doctor On Call is a 24/7 medical service staffed by licensed doctors and registered nurses, equipped with an ambulance for immediate response to medical emergencies.
