In a significant boost to the city’s sanitation efforts, Olongapo City barangays received four brand-new garbage trucks. The generous donation, spearheaded by Zambales First District Rep. Jefferson “Jay” Khonghun, is a welcome relief for communities grappling with waste management challenges.

The gleaming trucks, each assigned to a specific barangay, promise cleaner streets and healthier environments for residents. Sta. Rita received a state-of-the-art garbage compactor, while West Tapinac and New Asinan were each gifted a dedicated garbage truck.

The ceremony, held amidst a festive atmosphere, saw prominent figures gracing the occasion. City Councilors Rowena Cerezo, Donald Aquino, Gilbert Durago, and Angelo Gregg Elane joined barangay officials and other distinguished guests in celebrating this significant step towards a cleaner Olongapo.

With the addition of these four well-equipped garbage trucks, Olongapo City is taking a significant stride toward a cleaner and greener future. The initiative strengthens the city’s waste management infrastructure and embodies the collaborative spirit that drives progress.
