The following year, 2024, promises to be more exciting as Dumaguete will celebrate the yearlong 75th Diamond Jubilee Charter Anniversary and will pay tribute to the people, institutions, and events that helped make the City of Gentle People among the ideal places to live in the Philippines.

Aseniero, City Administrator Lilani Ramon and Assistant City Administrator Dr. Dinno T. Depositario joined Mayor Remollo in the countdown of the light up of the Community Christmas Tree and the entire Quezon Park.

The Dumaguete Quartet: Shannyn Morales, Rakhimi Tahir, Genmarie Guiao, and Vinz Villarosa; the Villanueva Family Jay Cyrus, Wowee, and Simone Villanueva; the Silliman University Big Band, and the Silliman University Campus Choristers delivered a quality musical performance which added Yuletide cheer during the event.
