AC Health hikes Healthway Qualimed stake to 94%

Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health) said Monday it raised its stake in Healthway QualiMed Health Network to 94 percdent from 70 percent, marking a further commitment to bolstering its presence in the Philippine healthcare industry.

“Our increased stake in the Healthway QualiMed Health Network underscores our unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare in the country. We remain dedicated to investing in our facilities and expanding our footprint to provide quality and affordable care to more Filipinos,” said AC Health president and chief executive Paolo Borromeo in a statement.

AC Health has made significant investments in the Healthway QualiMed network since acquiring a majority stake in 2020. This includes upgrades to facilities and equipment across the network, which initially consisted of four general hospitals, a ambulatory surgical center and several clinics nationwide.

AC Health recently opened the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital and teamed up with the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) for the management of their university hospital, bringing its total number of hospitals to six.

“As the Healthway Medical Network expands, our commitment to delivering patient-centric care remains steadfast. AC Health introduced its unified brand for hospitals and clinics – the Healthway Medical Network – further emphasizing its dedication to providing seamless and integrated care throughout the network.

Beyond its hospital network, AC Health also has investments in pharmaceuticals, health clinics, telemedicine platforms and diagnostic centers, demonstrating its comprehensive approach to improving healthcare access and affordability in the Philippines.
