Labrador siblings hauled medals in overseas gymnastics, taekwondo tilt.
Siblings Marcus Andros, Alani Marcene and Ava Maxinne Rae Labrador donned the Philippine flag with honor after finishing their respective Southeast Asian stints in sterling fashion.
Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) member Marcos dominated the MAG 2 category of the 2nd JRC All Stars Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Bangkok, Thailand with four gold medals, two silver and a bronze over the weekend.
The 11-year-old elite gymnast won his gilts in the individual all-around, floor, parallel bars and pommel horse events while his silver medals and bronze came from the still rings, high bars, and vault events, respectively.
Marcus’ twin sister Alani, who is coming off fresh from winning three gold medals in Las Vegas last month, perfected her campaign with a double gold in the 8th Daedo International Taekwondo Championship in Singapore.
She conquered the female red belt poomsae and under-48kg kyorugi events against elite jins from other Southeast Asian countries.
Her older sister Ava, meanwhile, shared the winners’ podium with a bronze in the cadet female red belt of the same taekwondo event.
