Three ranking Philippine National Police (PNP) officials were reassigned in the latest reorganization, according to an order released by PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. Friday.

Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, formerly director of the PNP Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (PRBS), was named acting chief of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 5 (Bicol). Dizon previously served as the director of the Manila Police District before assuming the PRBS post.

Col. Leon Victor Rosete, deputy director for administration of the PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group, will replace Dizon as acting PRBS director.

Brig. Gen. Westrimundo Obinque, former chief of PRO-5, was reassigned as acting chief of the Directorate for Research and Development. The reassignment orders will take effect Dec. 11.

Meanwhile, Acorda commended the 41 police officers and non-uniformed personnel who passed the 2023 Bar examinations, urging them to use their legal expertise to “uphold justice and provide excellent public service.”

He said the achievement is a testament to their “exceptional capabilities and reflects the high standards upheld within the PNP.”

“This achievement underscores the dedication and relentless efforts of these individuals, who have effectively balanced their law enforcement duties with the rigorous demands of legal education,” Acorda said.

“I would like to express my sincerest congratulations to the 41 PNP personnel who have proven their mettle in the BAR Exam. I am confident that these individuals will continue to serve with distinction, utilizing their legal expertise to further our commitment to justice and public service,” he said.
