MIAA completes upgrade of NAIA

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has completed the electrical maintenance and upgrading operation at Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 3.

The operation involved upgrading main unit cables connecting the Meralco and MIAA main substations, replacing vacuum circuit breakers and protection relays at the main substation, and ensuring uninterrupted power supply to critical systems.

Generator sets were used during the three-hour maintenance period to avoid adverse impacts on the airport’s operational efficiency.

MIAA officer-in-charge Bryan Co said the maintenance operation did not cause any flight delays or cancellations.
