Las Piñas honors outstanding government employees, officials

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar honored this year’s outstanding employees, officials, and operating units who demonstrated good performance in the delivery of programs, projects, and activities in the city.

The 2023 Local Governance Exemplar Awards was established to identify, select, and provide rewards and incentives to deserving offices, officials, and employees.

The mayor emphasized the importance of upholding knowledge management, convergence, and multi-stakeholder partnership for the implementation of city government programs, projects, activities, and initiatives.

The awards and recognition program consists of two categories: city-level awards and barangay-level awards.

City-level awards include High Functionality on the Las Pinas City Peace and Order Council, Safest City in Southern Metro Manila, High Functionality on the Las Pinas City Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Ideal Function for both the Local Council for Protection of Children and the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children, Functional Comprehensive Development Plan, and Functional Fisheries Compliance Audit.

Barangay-level awards, on the other hand, include Safe Barangay Awards, Drug Cleared Barangays, Best Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays, and the Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa of the City of Las Piñas.

Vice Mayor April Aguilar expressed gratitude to all awardees for their unwavering commitment and innovative contributions to the city. She emphasized the importance of working together with a shared vision for a better city and praised the hard work and dedication of the awardees for enhancing the quality of life.

“Your efforts in various sectors have not only improved our city’s operations but have also uplifted the lives of our residents. This is a clear demonstration of what we can achieve when we work together with a shared vision for a better Las Piñas,” she stated.
