The Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. (CSFI) is holding one of their biggest fundraising events for the year—the Kabuhayan National Livelihood Trade Fair 2023 on Nov. 13 to 23, 2023 at the North Lobby of the House of Representatives.
More than sixty booths will showcase the best Philippine products from around the country, which include modern Filipiniana fashion, fabric and accessories, natural woven bags made from abaca, seagrass, pandan and water lily, traditional wares and handicrafts, furniture, beautiful art, recycled wood home accessories and a delectable spread of ready to eat delicacies as well as dried, fresh produce and lots of special food items from every region.
The trade fair aims to provide small and medium Filipino entrepreneurs with an opportunity to display their creativity, ingenuity and widen their market reach. CSFI will be showcasing a wonderful array of artisanal items made from around the country.
Major sponsors for the trade fair include Metrobank Foundation, San Miguel Corp., Government Service Insurance System and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
Proceeds from the CSFI Trade Fair were used to various programs and projects of the CSFI. This year, the CSFI hopes to use the proceeds to upgrade the facilities of and make the necessary repairs and renovations in the wards of government medical facilities, particularly, but not limited to, hospitals for the enlisted members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The CSFI will collaborate with the AFP for the undertaking. CSFI also expects to make a difference this Christmas in the lives of the less fortunate with gift-giving activities to make the season more cheerful.
“I am grateful to the members of the CSFI for their active participation in the Kabuhayan 2023, and for ensuring that we can offer the best products from each province” said CSFI president and former Deputy Speaker Rose Marie Arenas.
Chairperson Yedda Marie Romualdez is elated in the endeavor of the CSFI-19th Congress. “It’s been wonderful to see so many members work together on this project. We hope that we will be able to raise a significant amount to make a difference in the lives of uniformed personnel who tirelessly and selflessly serve our country for peace and security,” she said.
CSFI is a non-stock, non-profit organization composed of 300 plus parents, spouses, siblings and children of members of the House of Representatives that conducts socio-civic activities to help reduce poverty, foster education, rehabilitate abused women, promote tourism, sharing of best practices across regions and addressing disaster response and espousing environmental sustainability.
