The Taguig City government has announced its partnership with Kids
International Dental Services (KIDS) for a five-day dental outreach
program for children in time for National Children’s Month.
This initiative, known as the KIDS Dental Mission, is dedicated to
educating children about the importance of maintaining healthy teeth
and equipping them with the knowledge to prevent oral diseases.
A multinational team, led by pediatric dentist Dr. Ignatius Nate
Gerodias, and Taguig’s Medical Assistance Office personnel, provided
free dental services to children, including consultations, cleaning,
fluoride varnishing, and tooth extractions.
More than 400 children from the Dr. Artemio Natividad Elementary
School (DANES) and Taguig Integrated School (TIS) received free dental
services and treatments with complimentary toothbrushes, toys, and
stickers on the first and second days of the mission.
Mayor Laarni Cayetano personally visited the mission team, extending
warm greetings to the volunteers and students.
“As a Transformative, Lively, and Caring city, Taguig is committed to
the well-being of its residents, ensuring their good oral health and
overall physical wellness,” she said.
Meanwhile, the local government continued its distribution of new and
improved school uniforms in different schools in the city.
The distribution will continue until all 200,000 public school
students receive their uniforms.
