Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan provided sari-sari stores and “bigasan” (rice store) livelihood packages to a total of 44 beneficiaries on Monday, November 6 during the city government’s flag-raising ceremony as part of the celebrations for his 44th birthday.

The said beneficiaries were chosen through a Facebook contest, wherein city residents were encouraged to join by sharing the reason why they need the livelihood package, among other guidelines.

Mayor Along expressed his profound appreciation for another year in his life and for having more opportunities to be of service to the public and to help change the lives of his constituents.

The local chief executive likewise asserted that programs such as this are ways for his administration to repay the trust given by the people to his leadership and gave his assurance that those who were not chosen will benefit from other opportunities that will be provided by the city government.
