Camp Paciano Rizal –Elements of the Laguna provincial police force have arrested following hot pursuit operations in Binan City three Chinese nationals suspected for kidnapping, extortion, grave coercion, and possession of firearms.
Acting Laguna police chief Col. Harold Depositar, identified the suspects only as alias Tan, a resident of Sta Cruz, Manila; alias Yang; and alias Yang.
Binan police chief Jonathan Robert Rongavilla, in his report, narrated that they received information through a phone call about a kidnapping incident.
Initial investigations showed that the victim, identified ony as Shoroming, was abducted by the suspects in Pasay City on October 30, 2023, and held captive in a rented apartment at a subdivision at Brgy. Tubigan, Biñan.
The suspects allegedly demanded P1 million ransom and a luxury vehicle in exchange for the victim’s release.
However, the victim managed to escape and seek help from the residents in the subdivision who called the police for assistance.
A police team was subsequently dispatched to the area, resulting in the arrest of Tan and Hui, and the seizure of a cal. 22 revolver and several bullets.
Police said criminal charges of kidnapping, extortion, grave coercion, and illegal possession of firearm were being prepared against the suspects.
