A1 hopes to collaborate with Ben&Ben, SB19

The members of the British-Norwegian boy group A1 expressed their keen interest in collaborating with Filipino artists during a press conference.

Comprising Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read, and Ben Adams, the ‘90s boy group enthusiastically shared their interest in working with P-pop Kings SB19 and the talented folk-pop band Ben&Ben in the future.

“I honestly love the music of Ben&Ben. I think they are a fantastic band,” said Mark.

“But Ben&Ben and A1, I think musically, are a really good fit. Because they [Ben&Ben] got a great acoustic rock, collective, mature sound. And we sound mature without music now. So, I think that would be a great fit,” he continued.

He then explained his desire to sing with the P-pop group SB19 but thought of the age gap.

“I’d love to say SB19 but they were a bit young for us,” he added.

Previously, they got to work with OPM singer and Asia’s Phoenix, Morissette Amon in singing their hit song, “Like A Rose.”

Apart from “Like A Rose,” A1 was also the voice behind the tracks “Everytime,” “Heaven By Your Side,” “Walking in the Rain,” and a cover song of a-ha’s “Take on Me”.

A1 is currently in the Philippines for the seventh time for a four-day show as part of their anniversary concert, A1 TWENTY FIVE.

Being in the music industry for 25 years, the group shared the secret behind their strong friendship.

“It’s our fans. We have to thank them for still doing this after all these years. We are so grateful that after 25 years after we wrote some of these songs, people wanted to still hear our songs,” Mark revealed.

“When we come here, it’s so fantastic, the greetings, the smiles, we enjoyed it, and that makes us so happy and makes us continue what we do,” he added.

Last October 12 and 13, A1 held their first two shows at SMX Convention Center, Davao, and Waterfront City Hotel & Casino, Cebu, respectively.

A1 TWENTY FIVE, which had Manila a stop over the weekend at the New Frontier Theater was presented by the Concert Republic.
