MAMBAJAO, Camiguin — Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez, in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), on Saturday led the distribution of cash aid to persons with disabilities (PWD) and senior citizens here.
The lawmaker led in handing out P5,000 to each of the 2,000 qualified beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).
At the same time, Rep. Romualdez and Camiguin Lone District Rep. Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo inaugurated the first Alagang Tingog Center (ATC) here.
Romualdez assured Camuiginons that the center would bring as many services as it could to the province through the help of their local government leaders.
Individuals also won raffle items such as grocery bags, sacks of rice, cellphone units, smart TVs, rice cookers, gas stoves, refrigerators, bicycles, and two brand-new motorcycles.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Tingog Party-list for opening a satellite office on the island.
Tingog, led by Rep. Romualdez and Rep. Jude A. Acidre, aims to open more ATCs in the country to bring cash, medical, burial, and education assistance closer to people.
Also present at the event were Camiguin Rep. Romualdo, Camiguin Gov. Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo, Vice Gov. Rodin Romualdo, and Mambajao Mayor Ynigo Jesus D. Romualdo, among others.
