Democratic heritage

A statue of Mahatma Gandhi, who led the successful campaign for India’s independence from Britain, is pictured against the backdrop of India’s new parliament building in New Delhi on Monday.  The new building will have a Constitution Hall for the purpose of showcasing India’s democratic heritage.
