SM City Grand Central welcomed eager job seekers and enthusiastic employers to the special job fair held at the 5th level of the mall today, Sept. 15.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for job seekers to secure employment ahead of the Christmas rush while enabling companies to strengthen their workforce to meet the heightened demand during the festive season.
The job fair attracted a wide range of potential employees from various backgrounds and skill levels, offering more than 3,733 job positions. Given the upcoming increase in customer demand during the holiday season, 41 organizations from various industries participated in the job fair.
From retail giants to companies in hospitality, logistics, and service providers, the fair showcased a broad mix of job offerings, with positions ranging from sales associates, customer service representatives, warehouse staff, administrative professionals, to management roles.
Preliminary results showed that at least 237 job seekers were hired on the spot, while 725 qualified applicants will be processed for hiring.
“The holiday season holds great significance for us, Filipinos, and having a dedicated and dynamic workforce is the key to making Christmas truly memorable for everyone,” stated SM City Grand Central Assistant Mall Manager Alpha Hernandez.
“We are pleased to collaborate with these esteemed companies that offer thousands of job opportunities. Our goal is not only to bring Christmas cheer but also to help individuals secure employment that can lead to fulfilling careers,” she added.
As the Christmas season approaches, SM City Grand Central remains dedicated to fostering economic growth within the community.
