Las Piñas City once again won the award as the “Safest City” or the safest city in southern Metro Manila awarded by the Southern Police District (SPD) during the celebration of its 122nd Police Service Anniversary held at the SPD headquarters, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, last August 17.
Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice-Mayor April Aguilar, together with City Police Chief Colonel Jaime Santos, welcomed the Plaque of Recognition for Las Piñas as the “Safest City in the southern part of Metro Manila” in a simple ceremony of the turn-over at Las Piñas City Hall.
On August 9, 2022, in the 121st Police Service Anniversary of the SPD, Las Piñas won the same award and recognition for maintaining peace and order throughout the city and having the lowest crime rate with the help of tight police visibility and checkpoints in different places.
The full support of the Local Government to the Las Piñas City Police and close relations with the officials of the barangays contribute to ensuring the continuous safety of the residents and a peaceful home in the city.
