Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan personally led the
distribution of bags and other school supplies to students of various
public schools in the city to officially kick off the start of the new
school year on Tuesday, August 29.
The local chief executive assured his constituents that the city
government will be with them in every step of their children’s
education and noted that the distribution of free school supplies is
already an annual practice that should be expected by everyone in
Caloocan.
“Hindi ko na po kayo kayang gulatin dahil matagal na po itong program
ng ating lungsod. Asahan niyo na po na taon-taon, sagot na po ng
pamahalaang lungsod ang mga kagamitan ng ating mga mag-aaral. Kami po
ang bahalang magbigay ng sandata upang makatulong sa kanilang laban na
magkaroon ng magandang kinabukasan,” Mayor Along said.
Mayor Along likewise called on every parent to continue being partners
in public policy by encouraging their children to study and attend
their classes. He declared that it will always be the wisest decision
of any leader to invest in the future by making sure that the youth
will have access to quality education.
“Sinisiguro ko po sa inyo, hindi niyo na kailangang gumastos nang
malaki para sa pag-aaral ng inyong mga anak mula elementarya, high
school, at kolehiyo. Kaya sana po, siguraduhin natin na papasok sila
sa mga klase at mag-aaral nang mabuti,” the City Mayor said.
“Uulit-ulitin ko po, kahit kailan po ay hindi ako magsisisi na ang
pinakamalaking investment po natin ay laging para sa edukasyon at
kinabukasan ng mga Batang Kankaloo,” he added.
