Tropical Storm Hanna entered the Phillipine area of responsibility (PAR), around the same time Super Typhoon Saola (formerly Goring) left PAR, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
PAGASA in a morning bulletin also said southwest monsoon or habagat being enhanced by tropical cyclones inside and outside the PAR is causing heavy rains in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other parts of the country.
Thee enhanced habagat will dump heavy rains over the Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Calamian Islands, PAGASA said Occasional rains due to the enhanced weather system will continue in the western portions of Luzon in the next three days. Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Aurora, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the northern portion of Eastern Visayas will experience rains and wind gusts, the weather bureau said.
