Honda Cars Philippines Inc. said Tuesday it will launch the sixth-generation All-New Honda CR-V on Sept. 13, 2023.
HCPI president Rie Miyake said the all-new model of the flagship SUV is a significant step forward in Honda’s global thrust on electrification.
“We are eager to launch the All-new Honda CR-V in the Philippines because this is a major step towards a carbon-neutral future for the next generation. With cumulative sales of over 70,000 units since it came to the Philippines in 1997, I know the Honda CR-V has a special place in the heart of Filipino customers. With the all-new model, with the new e:HEV, Honda CONNECT and Honda SENSING, Honda demonstrates our commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment, and to safety for everyone” she said.
Making a milestone, the e:HEV full-hybrid system is available in the All-New CR-V for the first time. The technology seamlessly blends the robust prowess of a 2.0-liter engine with dual electric motors. With latest hybrid system at its core, it achieves outstanding fuel efficiency, substantially reduces emissions and maintains an exhilarating and dynamic driving experience.
HCPI said in addition to the pioneering e:HEV full hybrid system, the sixth-generation Honda CR-V is also the first in its line with a turbocharged gas engine, allowing a powerful performance while optimizing fuel efficiency. The new CRV will be available in the 1.5 V Turbo CVT and 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD variants.
It is also the first in the Philippines to be equipped with the Honda CONNECT, which Honda developed to further enhance safety, security and convenience for customers.
Utilizing smart telematics technology, the Honda CONNECT will allow users to have a seamless connection with their cars via a smartphone application for an enhanced ownership experience.
All variants of the All-new Honda CR-V will come standard with the latest generation of Honda SENSING driver-assist technology, which uses a front camera and radar to help detect cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians, and other road users effectively.
The All-New Honda CR-V will showcase advanced features, especially in terms of connectivity and safety, along with a premium new design.
It continues a strong legacy of models that began in 1995. Also known as the ‘comfortable runabout vehicle’, it has grown to become Honda’s leading global model with millions sold since its introduction.
