Actor Dominic Roque has finally popped the question to longtime girlfriend Bea Alonzo, the actress took to Facebook to share the heartwarming moment.
In her social media post, the actress recounted how the day started like any other with a shoot, little knowing that it would be a day that would change their lives forever.
“It was a balmy afternoon in Las Casas. I was there for a shoot, but little did I know that the next thing that would happen would change our lives forever,” Bea started.
During the shoot, Bea noticed something unusual when photographer Mark Nicdao persistently requested her to turn around, focusing on the back of her dress. Unknown to her, Dominic had planned this moment meticulously.
When Bea finally turned around, she was met with a heartwarming sight—Dominic kneeling before her with a box in hand, ready to ask for her hand in marriage.
Bea expressed her emotions, admitting that despite acting in countless proposal scenes throughout her career, nothing compared to the authenticity and beauty of this real-life proposal.
“You see, I have done so many proposal scenes in my entire career, but nothing beats the real thing. I have been doing it all wrong! Hahaha, Dom said his speech, and it’s like time stood still. Everything went in slow motion. And I felt different emotions all at the same time—joy, excitement, love. I started bawling,” shared the 35-year-old actress.
“But I didn’t want that moment to end. I want this real thing to happen forever… and right then there… In front of the people we love… we decided on forever,” she added.
The couple’s love story has been a journey of friendship turning into something more profound. They had known each other for years, but it was during a trip to Japan in 2019 that Bea began to see Dominic in a different light.
The pair confirmed their relationship in April 2021, and they recently celebrated their second anniversary as a celebrity couple on January 28 this year.
